Women in the Church or WIC is a national organization of the Presbyterian Church in America the purpose of which
“is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.”

Its theme verse is Titus 2:3: “Likewise, teach older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderous or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children…”

WIC is also active on a Presbytery level with PresWIC conferences at least two times a year concurrent with the Presbytery meetings throughout the Siouxlands Presbytery. FPC has its own chapter of WIC, the membership of which is comprised of all women associated with FPC whether as church members or regular attendees.

The Purpose of the FPCs WIC is…

To all women of FPC in Christian fellowship

• To provide a means by which women may increasingly know and apply the teachings of the Bible in all areas of life

• To promote the spiritual, educational, social, and financial welfare of the church

• To increase awareness of and participation in world missions

• To encourage the women of FPC in their personal witness for Christ
